Great to hear from VE7SV since he was my local for many years while I was VE7HA and we have a mutual friend Mike VE7WY. But I've never had the opportunity to hear his story in detail. I recognized similarities such as interest in radio as a youth in the 1960s and later, a career driven by amateur radio, interest in geography and travel, and understanding the significance of compatibility with others in radio and throughout life. It took operating overseas from 7J1AQH before I was able to properly appreciate his strong contest signals. I look forward to retirement in a few years and having time to operate from a foreign residence as Dale does on a regular basis.

Great interview with Dale, I was born and raced in Vina del Mar and moved to the US at the age of 26. Became a Ham in 1984 to stay in contact with Amateurs in Chile. Now I am retired and live in Ft Myers Fl. Since we have antenna restrictions in my community, I have been experimenting with digital modes using the internet. 73
