Sukkahs on the airCelebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, the festival of booths, from October 9th to October 16th, 2022, by operating amateur radio from a sukkah in our new Sukkah's On The Air event. You don't have to be Jewish to operate this event.
Jews have the "mitzvah" of inviting guests into their Sukkot during the holiday, where they live, gather, congregate, and eat. Find a Jew, a Jewish family, or a local synagogue that has a Sukkah, ask if you can bring ham radio into the sukkah to make 3 contacts and to demonstrate our hobby. To find a sukkah near you check out this directory. Use the form below to record your operations and include a picture of you making ham radio contacts in a sukkah. You can use any radio or mode to make your 3 contacts. Since this is new, there are no prizes, just the fellowship of the Sukkah and presenting the best of ham radio to the public who many not know alot about amateur radio. |
