Episode 010 - Stan Levandowski - WB2LQF
Stan, WB2LQF, built his amateur radio journey on the motto "doing more with less". Never operating more than 100 watts in his ham radio life, Stan's first QSOs, as a novice, were made with a single tube, 50LC, transmitter into the springs of his bed. A short time later, on the air with a Heathkit "Twoer", the Benton Harbor lunchbox, Stan met the Elmers who would change his life. This lead to a lifetime of amateur radio, service to his country, contacts, interests, and friends. Stan does more now with less with just an Elecraft KX3 as his rig of choice. He advises new hams to keep it simple, and that it is possible to get on the air for under $100.00. |
