In the Tubes - By Eric Guth, 4Z1UG

Map of the London "Tube" Subway System
Above is a map of the London "Tube" or subway system.  Its total length is 250 miles of tunnels to travel all around London.  The current Hamas tunnel underground, in Gaza, is now estimated at 450 miles, almost twice as long as the London tube system.  Gaza is 23% the size of London; 141 square miles compared to London's 607 square miles.  I calculate this to be 2.6 miles of underground in every square mile of Gaza.

I bring this up because the news outside of Israel may be focused on the civilian casualties in "the strip" from "reliable" Hamas health department spokesmen on Al Jazeera, the Qatari 24 hour news station, that is funded by the same Qatari sheikh who funded the tunnels and hosts Hamas representatives in 5 star hotels in Doha.
IDF troops have found thousands of tunnel entrances coming up in private homes and apartments, under UNRWA schools and playgrounds, under hospitals, clinics, mosques, graveyards, and universities.  My associates at the office and children of friends who are just returning from Gaza after over 100 days of combat report to me that Hamas flags, automatic weapons, rocket propelled grenade launchers, and remote control bombs are found in just about every apartment throughout the strip, often in children's rooms, under their beds. It was reported by released hostages that they were captive in the homes of UNRWA teachers and employees, and tortured by their children.  Every Gazan, and their kids, knew about the tunnel project either by working below or above ground, relying on UNRWA aid for their daily bread.

The Hamas tunnel project cost billions of US and European tax dollars over the past almost 20 years and created the most challenging battlefield in the history of warfare.  The US Administration insists on providing food and fuel to Hamas as a humanitarian gesture.  Israelis of all stripes are unsuccessfully blocking this aid at the crossings demanding that the remaining hostages be returned.  In any other theater of war, providing fuel and food to the enemy, especially under the "unusual" circumstances that we find ourselves in, would be unheard of.  Yet, the West, led by the US Administration, advocates the forcible and violent removal of these uppity Jews, mostly young mothers with small children whose husbands are still in Gaza, parents whose sons and daughters have died in combat and don't want their child's ultimate sacrifice to be for nothing, and old people who want to do something meaningful to support their children still engaged in the war. They are viewed by the West as the enemy.

For some reason, the US Administration insists that "settler violence" has increased against West Bank Palestinian Arabs since October 7th.  They are denying VISAs to four Jews for entry into the United States.  The truth from the Shin Bet, our "FBI". is that Arab violence against Jews is up 400% and violence against Arabs is 25% less than last year.  Violent attacks by "settler Jews" runs about .04% of the number of attacks by Arabs.  It is also defined differently.  Arab attacks include shooting, knifings, car ramming, boulders through windows of oncoming Jewish vehicles, and slingshots (high velocity stones that kill and mame).  Jews are considered violent if we spray paint slogans on Arab cars or buildings, burn junk yard cars, and defend our community orchards.  The administration considers IDF operations against terrorists in the West Bank as settler violence as they rely on Palestinian Authority stats for their information.  I wish I could make this up.

This war would end tomorrow, as it would have ended October 8th, if the hostages were returned and the terrorists surrendered.  There is no call from civilians of Gaza to end the war by returning the hostages.  So they continue to provide cover for Hamas dwelling in their own exclusive underground tube system.

Eric,
Thank you for this extensive explanation on the situation in Gaza. Please continue to share and may the hostages be freed as soon as possible.

Civilians in Gaza are perhaps unwilling accomplices of Hamas, as were civilians in Vietnamese villages unwilling accomplices of the Viet Cong 50 years ago.

In 2015 they celebrated the 40th anniversary of their victory in the 'American War'. Vietnamese civilians welcomed us Americans despite the fact we dropped 2x the bomb tonnage as WW2 (reportedly 7,500,000 T). Clean up is still underway.

Ted - Thanks for the article on the bombing during the Vietnam war. 4 million tons of bombs dropped on Vietnamese targets, with the hope of destroying the jungle tunnels of the Vietcong. Around 2 million civilians in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia were killed in the war. Unlike Israel, the United States did not drop millions of paper warnings of bombing targets, notify enemy citizens in the drop zones by telephone and cell phone of the impending bombing raids, or create humanitarian corridors through the battle field for the safe passage of enemy refugees out of the drop zones.

Gaza is an urban environment that needed the cooperation of the entire citizenry to create, over a period of 15 years, and keep secret the tunnel networks under it. It is now apparent that the Gaza/Egypt border was wide open for the smuggling of advanced weapons, rockets, and specialised tools for weapons manufacturing. Still not a peep.

Unfortunately, the facts on the ground instead portray the Gaza citizens, right down to the children all support the Hamas agenda. Gazans elected Hamas in 2007, just after Israel left Gaza (including exhuming our dead from cemeteries). UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) schools in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, propagate Jew hatred, murder, and the annihilation of Jews everywhere, not just Israel.

More in UNRWA schools here:

The Palestinian Center for Policy Survey and Research poll conducted just after October 7th, reported that 72% of Palestinian respondents said that they believed in the decision to launch its cross-border attack on Israeli citizens - most of whom supported Gazans and considered many of them "friends".

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/poll-shows-palestinians-back-oct-7-attack-israel-support-hamas-rises-2023-12-14/

It seems, by all reports, that Gaza citizens very much support Hamas, as do their cousins in the West Bank and across the Arab world. That is why it is such a surprise (not really) that the West wants to propagate this myth about the Palestinian people, as it defies the facts, both contemporary and historical.
And while Israeli troops are going house to house in search of Hamas and their tunnel entrances at great cost, rather than carpet bombing the strip, we are condemned for our step by step successes to eradicate Hamas, while preventing unnecessary civilian casualties of a population that largely supports our destruction. Add food and fuel to the mix to make this a Kafkaesque situation imposed by our friends.

Is either side of the Ukrainian conflict supplying aid to their enemies in the battle zone? Of course not. Perhaps the US Administration should insist that the Egyptians open their border for escaping refugees. Instead the West seems to agree that the innocent Palestinian civilians be prevented from escaping the battle field. If this is covered by news agencies in the West, it should generate a lot of questions about the state actors that surround the conflict, and their motives.

I am not picking on you Ted. You gave me an opportunity to answer some additional questions.

Thank you... excellent. The Tube metaphor is perfect for clarity of understanding. Israel must win. She Will win. The world, in its ignorance, cannot survive without her. From biblical times until now, the Jews earn their survival; over and over... they shall; they must...

I was encouraged to see Gazans marching in protest of Hamas. Is this a growing trend?

Eric - Thank you for making these facts known. It is very important the world gets the real story about these tunnels. I’m sure you will get some negative feedback from the non-believers. Keep up the good work.

Eric, thank you for these posts. It is clear to me that the traditional pro-Israel stance of the US is being undermined. As an American, I am ashamed to see these games being played by people in our government to manipulate public opinion against Israel. You are all in my prayers.

Eric Thank you for your writings but I find it very hard to read white lettering on a light orange background! Is there a way I can convert it to black letters? Thanks JACK W1WEF
