Ganesh Subramaniam, VU2TS, began his ham radio journey in 1959 trying to find someone, anyone, somewhere in his native Bangalore, India, who could provide basic information about the amateur radio service in India. Ganesh has been a ham over 50 years and is the editor of the Amateur Radio Society of India’s magazine,  Ham Radio News. VU2TS shares his ham radio story in this QSO Today.

Glad to see Ganesh TS interviewed here. Though I had interacted with him numerous times over email during my ARSI tenure for news letter articles, hearing him telling those stories is great feeling.
Thanks Eric for this another great story!

Hi Eric. Thanks for featuring Ganesh from India on your podcast. I am an Indian and just like Ganesh, I was bitten by the HAM Radio bug very early in my life. Unfortunately I never followed up on this dream, like Ganesh. Today I live in Germany and this episode as well as the entire podcast series has helped rekindle this dream.

Godspeed to you and this podcast.

Hi Eric,

Listening to your podcasts now. While listening to your interview with Arun (W8ARU) heard that Ganesh VU2TS has also been interviewed. Met Ganesh during ham radio demonstration at MSRIT in Bangalore in 1984 during my electronics engineering studies and that encouraged me to get my ham radio license.

Thank you and 73
Paresh
